Landowners:
Although many of the finds have now been returned to the landowners and farmers, or donated to museums, photographs and descriptions are still available. By using the web it is hoped that it will give more of an opportunity for those interested in historical artefacts to view the finds than would normally be possible. Without the trust and goodwill of landowners and farmers in granting the permission to search their land, many of the finds displayed may never have been discovered, I am most grateful for their kindness. I would also like to thank the organisers of metal detecting rallies that I have been able to attend and for those individuals that have been kind enough to invite me onto the sites for which they have permission to search.
